I have an Opossum that is showing signs of MBD. Where can I buy a calcium (or vitamin) supplement for him?

Check the diet first before giving supplements (this can unbalance the diet even more and run into other problems)

Find out what you were doing wrong (lack of sun might be one of them for instance) as you have to look at all the environment including the diet. check on stress factors as well as this will affect digestion and assimilation.

I tend to treat my animals with Australian Bush Flower Essences for health imbalances after I check regiment and the environment.

I would recommend the book ';Animal Healing with Australian Bush Flower Essences'; by Marie Matthews

Google ';Animal Healing with Australian Bush Flower Essences'; ISBN: 9780958059015

AND if you buy a second book make it ';Australian Bush Flower Healing'; by Ian White as this book has some things in it's repertory that is not in the

above book and it is helpful to have around for people problems too. ISBN-10: 073380053X

This group is mostly for people using Australian Bush Flower Essences

The following is about reptiles, but it gives a good overview of the problem: http://www.geocities.com/rainforest/9008鈥?/a>

Supplements are available everywhere, from Walmart to your local health-food store in the mall. Consider taking your pet to the veterinarian for an injection to get him started, and possibly some advice on diet and supplementation (although the poor vet may not know much about opossums specifically!)

A high-quality complete and balanced cat food will make a good base diet and prevent you from having to do much supplementing.
