What's a good price for opossum removal?

We live in South Carolina and have a family of Opossums living in our crawl space. We had someone come out to take a look, and he found a hole by our A/C unit where they are getting in. He said he could patch up the hole as well as live-trap the animals for roughly $500. Does this sound about right? What's a good price for opossum removal?
try throwing some moth balls in the hole once the critters are out patch the hole. $500.00 is way to much. You can buy a live trap for about $40.00, put a can of cat food in it and catch them then just haul them off a few miles from your home. What's a good price for opossum removal?
That's an insane price. There should be an access door into the crawl space. I'd open that door and throw a bunch of moth balls under there, that ought to get the possums to move out on their own. Then you can patch the hole by the AC.
If you aren't squeamish about trapping cute lil' possums, and you're willing to do the work, I'm sure you could get a trap and a holding cage for a lot less than $500.

Trap them one by one and when you're sure you've got them all, take them for a ride in the country.
