How can I get rid of an opossum in our wood shed?

My son has seen him on the roof of our house several times

at night. Last week my son went up on the roof to do some

repairs and he found droppings from the opossum. He said

it was a mess to clean up. It is also eating the food we leave out for the wild cats that hang around our property. How can I get rid of an opossum in our wood shed?
get a gun and kill it or use a grenade LOL no jk well seal ur garbage cans and put a trap cage and put some food that itll eat like open tuna or somthingHow can I get rid of an opossum in our wood shed?
Yell at it. Threaten it. Throw stuff at it. Show it who's boss.

Prefer nonviolence?

Ask politely.. use some bribery :]
You can get a humane trap and move the opossum. If you stop feeding the wild kitties, you will maybe not have an opossum visiting you anymore...

Good luck!
well,in some cases, you can almost domesticate a possum, especially if it has a litter of babys
beat his asss hahahah
you could use a trap or poison ask an exterminator
So stop leaving out food, they can't tell it's only for cats.

You can call animal control; they have humane traps.
you put food out for wild animals..... unfortunately you cannot choose which wild animals come to the scent of the food.

maybe put the food closer to the house or on a platform the cats have to jump up to, say 4 ft, but something the opossum can't get up on. remember, they are smart so make sure he can't just push it over or something.
first of all - the food left out is what attracted him. and if you want to get rid of him in the shed - place some moth balls in there. Animals do not like the smell that is given off by them and it will keep him from the shed. The opossum will continue to hang out as long as the food for the wild cats is there, he is hungry too!!! :)
stop leaving food out for a while, thats whats making it stay.

if you scare it, they play dead so that could be useful.

but they are also VERY dangerous.

you could set up one of those cages that has the trap door

but you might catch a cat.

no big deal, just let the cat go and keep trying.

or just set up a few cages and check them a few times a day.
